The Therapy Room (FBI Agent Susan Parker #1)

by Sam Baron
Published by Dreamscape Select, Storm Publishing Genres: Crime, Fiction, Mystery, suspense
Format: ARC, Audiobook

FBI agent Susan Parker is called back while on break after her husband’s death. She has been spending time with her seven-year-old daughter Natalie. When Doctor Magnusson is found dead and there is a post it note with “Susan Parker” written on it, she is called into action. She has been trying to hunt down this allusive doctor believing he was the serial killer dubbed ‘Splinter.

When twelve victims are found in “therapy rooms”, agent Parker is shocked when they won’t speak. What investigators do know is that mental health professionals are being targeted, what they do not know is why.

This book was a fast read and the first book in a new series featuring FBI agent Susan Parker. Susan is a determined yet flawed character who is still struggling after the loss of her husband. Her first case back to work is a doozy.

I enjoyed the tension and suspense in this book. I hope we get to learn more about the other team members in future books.

Thank you to Dreamscape Select, Storm Publishing and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
