It also feels as if you are going to be reading a horror novel – you are not. What you are reading is a book that is about parenthood, class, race, isolation, and judgment. This book is suspenseful, has a feeling of dread, and had me questioning what the heck was going on, especially in the beginning. Thought-provoking and riveting.
