Emily accepts a housekeeping job from recently widowed, Rupert. It seems like the perfect fit. Emily has been staying with her friend, Mags and welcomes the chance to have enough money to get her own flat.

Rupert is horrible at housekeeping and is house is a mess. At his friend’s suggestion, he agrees to hire a housekeeper, not knowing that this would change everything for him.

Soon both feel a mutual attraction and their relationship goes from professional to personal. Are they moving too fast? Are they the perfect couple?

This was my first book by Lisa Hall, and it will not be my last! I thought I had things figured out, but there are some twists and turns as secrets and lies are discovered.

My advice is to go into this knowing as little as possible. After a couple of chapters I was drawn into the plot and deciding who I liked and who I did not. I found this to be a fast-paced page tuner which does not disappoint. Another plus was getting both Rupert and Emily’s POV. This helps move the story along and we get some insight into each character’s thoughts, feelings and emotions.

A riveting page turner that kept me on my toes.

Thank you to Harper Collins and Edelweiss for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
