I am beyond thrilled that Josie Quinn and Lisa Regan are still going strong!

A pale hand reaches up, but it is too late, the raging water is too strong, and she is washed away….

Josie knew something was wrong when she heard knocking on her door at night – that knock signals trouble, and this was no exception. Josie learns that Amber, Denton PD’s press liaison is missing. Her boyfriend / fellow officer (Mettner) has not seen her for days. Josie and Noah follow the clues to the local dam where the body of a woman is found. The dead woman is not Amber, who is she? How did she end up in the dam and why?

Josie and her team will stop at nothing to find Amber even if it means looking at one of their own. As the clues pile up and more bodies are found, it becomes clear that they need to find Amber sooner than later as they killer is not stopping and as the snow falls, danger looms.

Whew! What a thrilling ride! I have read every book since the beginning of the series, and it is still going strong. This could probably be read as a stand-alone but do yourself a favor and go back to the beginning. These books are very fast reads, and once you start, you will not want to stop!

Gripping and hard to put down, this book delivered. I didn’t want to put it down and had on my super sleuth hat trying to follow the clues and find a killer myself. Of course, Josie is much better at that then I am!

Josie along with some other characters in the book continue to evolve and grow. I love the sense of family and community in this book. Regan has given us characters to root for and this book had me rooting the entire way.

Thrilling, fast paced and gripping.

***Another great buddy Read with DeAnn and Brenda! WE can’t wait for the next book, thankfully Lisa Regan is a fast writer! Please read their reviews as well.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
