Jack is happily married with three kids who suddenly wakes up as his thirteen-year-old self in the hospital. He can’t understand what has happened. He keeps asking for his wife and children and his doctors and father attribute this to the head injuries he suffered when he fell playing in an abandoned building. He is told he has an injury to his brain, and therefore he believes he is a married man with kids.

So maybe with time he can buy that, but what about seeing dead people (this is no sixth sense) and evil demons. Then there is Apartment 3C. It is across from his classroom and the resident appears to be staring at him.

The premise of this book was intriguing, but the execution did not work for me. Neither did the narrator. There were parts that I found to be very interesting, and I was fully engaged, then there were parts that dragged, and I lost interest. This is the first book in a series, and I will not be reading the rest.

Others have been captivated by this book, so please read their reviews as well.
