This is the second book that I have read lately where I cannot say that I like it or that I didn’t like it. I am ambivalent about it. I also don’t think that the narrator did the book any favors.

This is a book about secrets, suspicions, relationships and how the past never wants to stay in the past.

Someone has hit Sarah over the head with a rock on her Patio, she doesn’t know who and once the ball gets rolling in this book, I could not believe any of the characters put it together especially her husband! Grr….

I won’t go too much into the plot – But there is a nosey neighbor and a woman who is in someone’s home and has a plausible story for being there. Why is she there? Why does she have suspicions?

Why indeed!

So, as I mentioned I am quite ambivalent about this book. There are just too many things that dragged this book down for me. The believability of the characters, my not feeling any connection to them or being able to care about what is going on with them, etc.

There were parts that weren’t half bad and there were parts, that I just rolled my eyes. I generally love all Bookouture books, and I was shocked that this one just wasn’t for me.
Reviews are all over the place with this one, so read some others and decide for yourself if you want to visit 214 Palmer Street.

Thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
