Watch Her Disappear could also be titled “Watch Josie Quinn be awesome”!
Fourteen books in and still going strong! Woohoo!! This is one of my favorite series and I am already waiting for the next book in the series! I think Lisa Regan’s books are getting better as is her writing. If you have not picked up this series, do yourself a favor and do so. I know you are thinking there are 14 books, but they are quick reads, fast paced, with a great set of characters. You will fly thought them as I did.
In this book, teenage girls are being found dead on their sixteen birthdays after going missing without a trace. Josie and her team have their hands full with this case and its relation to a cold case which hits close to home for one of Denton’s own Chief, Bobby Chitwood. I love how the author fleshes out a different character in each book and it’s Bobby’s turn in this book.
In this book, there is more focus on the cases than there was on Josie’s personal life, but I didn’t mind as the current cases and cold case were so interesting and I was fully invested in wanting to learn more. I will admit, I didn’t have a clue and enjoyed how everything came together in the end.
I was instantly gripped by this book (as I am with all of them) and found myself flipping through the pages, fully immersed and engaged. Josie Quinn is such a fascinating character as are the other characters in this book. I have a feeling the next book will go back to being a balance of her personal life (go on that honeymoon already!!) and her work life, but it was fun to see her in full detective mode in this book.
