Ruby Reyes a.k.a. the Ice Queen was arrested for similar murder. Reyes knows who Paris is and upon being released from prison threatens to expose her.
This sounded so juicy and having loved Hillier’s other books, I thought this would be a no-brainer for me. But it was slow, dragged, and never failed to wow me. While listening to the audiobook, I wondered if it was my mood, the narrator (I don’t think so) or something else, but this one just failed to hit the mark with me.
