This is the second book in a series but worked very well for a stand-alone book for me. But I will admit, that after reading this one, I want to go back and read the first. The characters are so well drawn and interesting that I easily found myself invested in the story wanting to know more about their pasts and present. I loved how Amber’s family was there for each other, giving support and insight.
This was a pleasure to read from cover to cover. Elizabeth Bromke is a wonderful storyteller who has created characters I enjoyed spending time with. She had me feeling for them, cheering for them, and wanting to know more. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!!
