Anna McGregor, a former medical anthropologist, inherited a Cape May Victorian mansion from her Great Aunt Louise. Anna chose to re-open the mansion as a B&B as it once was. Things are going well; improvements have been made and the B&B is luxurious and beautiful. Then a man dies at the first breakfast she serves. The town’s gossip mill goes into overdrive as Anna does her best to save not only her reputation but the reputation of the B&B and her late aunt.

There are a quite a few characters in this book who Anna questions to determine whodunit. Sure, there is a police officer on the case but it’s mainly just Anna trying to investigate the death of her first guest. She needs to clear her own name and save her business.

This cozy mystery was enjoyable and proved to be a fast read. I enjoyed the emphasis on solving the mystery and I always enjoy doing my own investigating as I read. Will you guess whodunit?

I enjoy a light mystery from time to time. This is the first book in the Cape May Cozy Mysteries series. Fans of Cozy mysteries will enjoy this mystery.

Thank you to Jane Gorman who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
