This was a fun book that centers around a reality cooking competition, “Bake Week.” Six contestants are handpicked to compete and stay at host, Betsy Martin’s estate. They will compete for five days, and a winner will be announced. It is a somewhat tense time as they are competing, and each contestant has a reason to be there. Betsy isn’t very happy that her producers have hired Archie Morris to be her cohost. In fact, she is livid.
Soon there is sabotage quickly followed by murder. Who is the killer and what is the motive?? Everyone is a suspect and secrets will be revealed. This was a fun book that had me thinking of cooking shows that I enjoy watching on television.
This was a well-done debut novel which I thoroughly enjoyed. Very nicely done and well thought out.
