In this book there is a threat to life as they know it in their happy bubble at Marchwood. A young woman has come around and she is both mysterious and beguiling. Her name is Nadia, and she is going to shake things up in this book.
Like the other books in this series, the book is told in the present and in the past. In the past, we see an ancient people, their lives, practices, and tribulations. We also see the emergence of a threat and a hunter.
In the present we see Maddy and Alex, along with their family members living at Marchwood until a stranger comes into the presence.
I enjoyed reading this series and the last book tied things up nicely for the characters. Shalini Boland created a unique world full of interesting characters and did her research to bring ancient cultures to life.
This was an enjoyable YA paranormal romance.
