When you board a flight, you are basically putting your life into someone else’s hands. Relying on the pilot, the flight crew, and the plane to get you to your destination alive and well. But what happens when the pilot is given a choice – to save his family or crash the plane?????
Captain Bill Hoffman thought it would be a typical day flying the friendly skies. He is anticipating a routine flight. But then he receives a call that his family has been taken hostage and are being held at home. He is given a deadly choice, to crash the plane or save his family. Bill does not want to make the choice…
Talk about being trapped, with the tension mounting and a tough decision to make! The highlight of the book for me was not Bill but the flight crew who despite being in the worst-case scenario, used their skill and knowledge throughout the book no matter how dire the situation was. They were the true heroes in the book for me.
I loved the author’s book Drowning and had high hopes for this one. I enjoyed this book and could feel the tension throughout this book. I just didn’t feel the connection to this book as I did to Drowning.
I listened to the audiobook and wondered if I had read the book instead if I would have enjoyed the book more. I do see how this would make a good movie. A husband and father being given the ultimate choice and the events that follow.
Enjoyable and tense.
