Liar liar pants on fire!

This was such a gripping, hard to put down and shocking book! Shari Lapena has done it again!

William Wooler was having an affair and after his lover ended the affair, William came home and was shocked to see his nine-year-old daughter, Avery, home alone. She should still be at school, but she was kicked out of her after school activity and walked home alone. Upset by the end of his affair, and Avery giving him attitude, William loses his temper with her.

Now Avery is missing!

As the police begin to investigate and neighbors begin coming forward, it is crystal clear that William is not the only one with secrets on this street. Avery’s disappearance begins a domino effect as lives will be changed, lies will be exposed, secrets will be revealed, and the neighborhood will never be the same again!

I listened to the audiobook and loved the narration! Everyone Here Is Lying kept me on my toes, doing my own super sleuthing, lining up suspects and formulating theories as to where Avery might be and what might have happened to her. I had a lot of fun reading this one as many of the characters are a mess. They lied, deceived, had secrets, and pointed fingers. I did a lot of head shaking at them while having a smile on my face. I felt for Avery’s mother and brother as they dealt with Avery’s disappearance.

I love books that turn the tables on me. The last 15% of the book – Wowza is all I will say. I was already captivated by this book and glued to the pages, but Lapena took it up a notch and knocked it out of the ballpark!!!

Gripping, well written, well thought out, and hard to put down!
