Another thrilling, gripping and twisted tale by Daniel Hurst where a wife and the mistress are playing a game of cat and mouse. Both women loved the wrong man. Both cannot move on with their lives – not when revenge is getting in their way!

This book will work as a stand-alone but I highly suggest reading the first two books: The Doctor’s Wife and The Doctor’s Widow before taking on this bad boy girl. They are both gripping and entertaining books.

Alice was the Doctor’s mistress and spent time in jail for Doctor Drew Devlin’s murder. She has been released after being cleared of the crime, has a baby and is looking for revenge. Tess/Fern is hiding and on the run. She also has a baby in tow and is constantly looking over her shoulder.

This book is told through 3 POV’s and kept me on my toes. I had both the book and the audiobook which made for an enjoyable reading experience. I enjoyed the tension, the pacing, and the cat and mouse feel of this book. I have enjoyed reading about Fern/Tess and Alice from the very first book in the series and enjoyed reading about them once again. Have they changed? Have they grown now that they are mothers? You will have to read to find out. This was a fast paced and addictive read which had me turning the pages!

Addictive, fast paced, thrilling and tense.
