This book got me ramped up!
This was a unique, thrilling, and gripping book. Plus, the action! It was top notch! The book begins in ancient Egypt and then comes full circle in Boston, Massachusetts. Anton Slayne had no idea what would transpire when he opened his front door one evening when his parents were out. It is a “If I could go back in time and do things differently “moment. But he does open the door and readers (And Anton) come face to face with Vampire general, Chloe Armitage. After suffering a horrific loss, Anton soon finds himself taken in and trained by Mr. Wu. It is there that he will learn so many things, I am surprised that it didn’t make his head spin. No head spinning but lots of ramping.
Action packed and full of vampires, vampire hunters, those who clean up after vampires and those hungry for power. There are a lot of characters who belong to various groups/societies. It is obvious that Chloe Armitage has something up her sleeve, but what? Who will come out on top?
This is the first book in the series, and it did leave me wanting more.
