KMOD always delivers a fast paced, gripping and thrilling read. I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrator did a great job! I listened to this book throughout the day and enjoyed it immensely right until the ending and then I was sitting in my chair thinking “Say what?”, “Seriously?” and “Are you kidding Me?” The entire book was smooth sailing until the ending which was like skating on thin ice.

Six book influencers decide to go away for the weekend to content, relax, have good times, and create memories. Heck, they may even discuss a book or two (or three). Sounds wonderful right? That would be a dream for me. But alas, this becomes a nightmare for them! The home they rented is in a small town and away from things, giving it that middle of nowhere trapped feeling. Throw in a bizarre sighting and you have yourself a hard to put down book (or audiobook in my case)!

I was hooked and fully invested the whole way but then the ending just didn’t work for me. I don’t want to say much more than that to avoid spoilers. I really struggled how to rate this as I was digging this book until the ending. Most of us have been there, loving a book until the end.

Others enjoyed the book all the way through more than I did. Please read those reviews as well.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
