Blaine Daigle has become a force to be reckoned with. I have read his three books (The Broken PlacesA Dark Roux and now A Dark and Endless Sea and he has transported me to some dark, eerie, and scary places which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Whitt Rogers has horrific dreams. When he wakes, he has no memories and no idea who he is, except for the name he keeps rewriting on his hand. His wandering brings him to a crab fishing ship heading to the Bering Sea. As he becomes a member of the crew, he learns he is not the only one having horrible, horrible dreams…

WOWZA! This book was atmospheric, dark, chilling, creepy, tense, and full of danger. I loved the vivid descriptions, the eerie damp vibe of the book, and the pulse pounding scenes. What is going onboard the ship? What is going on in the water? What indeed!!!! I think it is pretty safe to say, I won’t be going on any crab fishing or any fishing ships in the near future (lets me real, that was never going to happen but still)!

If you enjoy books in the horror genre and have not read a book by Blaine Daigle before, what are you waiting for? His books are original, well thought out, well written, full of vivid descriptions, great dialogue, and imagery. I felt as if I was a silent observer on the ship, stepping over the crabs, and covering my ears the entire time!

Atmospheric, tense, eerie and hard to put down!

Thank you to Wicked House Publishing and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
