An autistic marine biologist who studies whales + a drug addicted rock star looking for a second chance = reading bliss. Searching for Your Song is about second chances, making a difference, attraction, lies, and hope.

Lola research whales (how cool is that!) and is in desperate need of some funding. She once walked away from the man she loved to pursue her dreams. Oscar is a drug addicted rock star who isn’t that into fame. He wants to make a difference, he wants to change, and recalls that his first love loved whales.

This was a wonderful book about second chances, making a difference, being honest, addiction, taking a chance and starting over. The characters are likeable and deal with real life issues. I enjoyed the wonderful writing and how the book was told through the POV of both Lola and Oscar.

I appreciated how the author did not rush anything in the book. Both characters were dealing with their own real-life issues. They had things they needed to work on and through and nothing came easy. This made their journey even more enjoyable.

TW: addiction, mention of an abortion

I received a copy of this book through a goodreads giveaway and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
