Psychic Riley Thorn, her boyfriend PI Nick Santiago, and gang are back with another mystery(s) to solve!
Riley Thorn and the Corpse in the Closet is a light, fun, read which is full of antics, interesting characters and a farting dog! This is book #2 in the Riley thorn series and could be read as a stand-alone but the first book, Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door was an enjoyable read and I recommend reading it first.
I enjoy the banter between Riley and Nick. I enjoy both characters but especially Nick. I also like the fact that we get to meet Nick’s family and Riley’s grandmother makes an appearance. Oh, let’s not forget the corpse in the closet!
I enjoyed this book this book but it lost a little of its magic for me. My one complaint is that this book didn’t need to be this long. I think I would have enjoyed this book slightly more with the help of a little editing. Having said that, overall, this was an enjoyable light read which had me smiling in parts. This is also going to be a third book so I will be keeping my eye open for that.
