Gripping, thought provoking, hard to put down and well thought out.
Deena Wood has returned to her hometown in Brunswick, Georgia after losing her job, her divorce, and the death of her mother. She comes across a man who is fighting to keep his land and warns her off. She is shocked to learn days later that he has disappeared.
What follows is a quest for the truth, secrets, deception, manipulation, illegal grabs of land, and mounting danger. I enjoyed the tension, the twists, and the revelations in this book.
I had a hard time putting this book down while marveling at Wanda M. Morris’ writing.
Gripping, well written, well thought out, and shocking!
Be sure to read the author’s note at the end of the book where the author shares her inspiration for writing this book.
