Shari Lapena has taken me on another enjoyable reading journey. I always look forward to her books and she always delivers. I found this book to be gripping, captivating, wonderfully written, well thought out, and mysterious.
Diana Brewer has been murdered and her body has been found in a local famer’s field. An investigation instantly ensues while those in Diana’s life grapple with her loss. As the detectives investigate, it becomes evident that quite a few people in the small town of Vermont have BIG secrets!
I loved how this mystery unfolded. Another plus is the various POV’s of those in Diana’s life. I also loved the paranormal aspect of Diana’s ghost being around those who were in her life. This book had a nice number of twists and turns as characters lied, tried to protect their secrets, and were suspicious of others.
Another wonderful book by Lapena! I can’t wait to read what she writes next!
