The Answer is No

I was so excited to see that Fredrik Backman had a short story and that it had high ratings. I grabbed the audiobook and dove in. Unfortunately, this was just meh for me. For some reason, this gave me strong T.J. Klune vibes. Most likely because the characters are quirky and go on a mission to find out who left a frying out. All Lucas wants is to be left alone and finds himself swept up in his neighbor’s plan(s) to find who left out the frying pan, and well things do not go exactly as they planned.

This book touches on isolation, community, saying No, and may or may not answer the question whether peanuts do indeed belong in pad Thai! The characters find themselves in some zany situations and make some ever-sillier decisions.

I prefer to keep with T.J. Klune for the quirky and whimsical and keep with Backman for his novels.
