The stakes are high in Below Ground, the gripping and pulse pounding 11th installment in the addictive DCI Matilda Darke series!!!!! I am reading this one out of order but that did not affect my enjoyment at all! As with the other books in this series, I found Below Ground to be wonderfully written, brilliantly paced, well thought out, and addictive. I did not want to put this book done as Matilda’s team goes into high gear trying to find Matilda after she has been kidnapped. But don’t count Matilda out, while kidnapped, she is also trying to figure out what is going on and who is behind her kidnapping!
Whew! This one had my pulse amped out and my interest piqued. I am a HUGE fan of this series and Michael Wood never disappoints! This book is full of tension, danger, twists, and suspense. I love the DCI team, their banter, how they work together and even their little spats. I had my fingers crossed the entire book for the wellbeing of both Matilda and Scott – who was attacked in Matilda’s home.
Another thrilling, jaw dropping and shocking book in the series! If you have not read this series, you are seriously missing out!
