After losing her job and her home, Rosie is desperate to find a job. She has dreamed her whole life of being an actor and jumps at the chance of being director of Cinderella! It’s a dream! It’s a big chance! But when she arrives, she realizes that she has been hired by a retirement community and the talent will be the residents at the home. Has she bitten off more than she can chew????
This book has its fair share and cute and endearing moments. As Rosie gets to work, she has more than few challenges and obstacles to overcome. I enjoyed watching Rosie go from shock to acceptance then to enjoying what she was doing. I enjoyed the humor and the message of going for your dreams, taking chances, being vulnerable, self-growth, friendship, and drama! This book also has some romance and a very nice sense of community/found family which I always enjoy.
While there were parts of this book that I really enjoyed, there were other parts that were slow and at times I felt as if I would never finish this book. I struggle with slow and that brought down some of my enjoyment of the book.
Others enjoyed this book more than I did, so please read their reviews as well.
I had both the book and audiobook for Everything’s Coming Up Rosie which made for a fully immersive reading experience. I thought the narrator of the audiobook did a great job of bringing the book to life!
