Unique, unique, unique! The Creed Falls Massacres began with all the slasher vibes that I love. When the book began seventeen years in the past with a killer (the Silver Fox) on the loose brandishing a machete, I was like, “buckle me in!” I love a good slasher. Then the book goes to the present day where the final girl, Jamie Campbell, is mother with a teenage daughter. This year on the anniversary of the massacre accusations against Jamie are still being thrown around. Making matters worse, a meteor has crashed outside of Creed Falls and everything changes…….

While reading this book I felt as if the author had a slasher book in one hand and a science fiction book in the other, brought his hands together and mashed both stories together. The result – a unique, original, and horrific book This book had me from the very first page and went it went off in another direction, I was momentarily stunned and had like the characters in this book, had to get my bearings.

I enjoyed the originality and the uniqueness of this plot. It was like a blending of an ’80’s slasher horror film meets a body invasion trope. I enjoyed the characters even the ones that were stirring up trouble. What a wild ride.

The author first came on my radar with Slashtag and Try Not to Die on Slashtag: An Interactive Adventure. His books might not be for everyone, but he does excel at writing original well thought out, anxiety provoking, action books. I enjoyed the tension, the sense of danger, and the dread in this book.

Thank you to Wicked House Publishing and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
