I have been a HUGE fan of this series since the very first book, The Girls in the Snow! This series is a MUST READ for me. Save Her Familyis the 11th book in the Nikki Hunt series and I am already looking forward to the next book.
Special Agent Nikki Hunt’s ten-year-old daughter Lacey witnessed the horrific murder of a woman at the beginning of this book. That sets the stage for Nikki to go full throttle into the murder investigation. Her daughter being an eyewitness puts her in danger and Nikki is not about to let anything happen to her child. Readers of the series know that Nikki has seen and experienced her fair share of loss since her teenage years. She has grown into a strong, hardworking and determined Special agent who will not let anything get in her way of solving crimes. This time it is personal, and Nikki will not be deterred.
I enjoyed the mystery in this book. I love how Stacy Green balances Nikki’s personal life with her professional life. I have enjoyed the character development throughout this series. I also enjoyed the teamwork in solving cases and the investigative work involved. Nikki comes up against quite a few characters and suspects who have secrets and are not too forthcoming. As the book progressed, I could feel Nikki’s frustration and her resolve to get to the bottom of things. I also tried to do my best super sleuthing as I read to determine whodunit.
As with the other books in this series, Save Her Family was gripping, has a great mystery, interesting characters, tension, twists, and shocking moments. As I mentioned earlier, I am already ready to read what comes next!
