First that cover! It’s just as good as the cover for Malice.
Second, this book, although good, was not as good as its predecessor. It’s long and it felt long in many places. Parts of the book were slow to me but the ending ramped things up and it regained some of the magic left over from the first book.
I have to give the Author props for creativity and building such a imaginative and original world full of vivid characters in a dark, sinister setting!
I am not a big fantasy reader, but Malice blew me away and I had to know what happened to the characters. Part of me wished I had just kept wondering, while another part of me is glad that I took the plunge with this book.
Others are enjoying this more than I did so please read their reviews as well.
