“It’s the kind of kiss that inspires stars to climb into the sky and light up the world.” ― Tahereh Mafi

Alyce has wreaked havoc on the kingdom that made her an outcast. Briar is now her domain, and no one will escape her wrath. Princess Aurora, the one who saw through Alyce’s façade, lays sleeping. Cursed to remain that way until…

With all her power, Alyce cannot wake the woman she loves. One hundred years have gone by and Alyce vows to wake Princess Aurora even if it means being the monster everyone believes her to be.

Dustin, a human boy has washed up on the shores of Nimara. What role will he play? Could he be the key? Will those in the dark kingdom let him live? How ill Alyce react?

First that cover! It’s just as good as the cover for Malice.

Second, this book, although good, was not as good as its predecessor. It’s long and it felt long in many places. Parts of the book were slow to me but the ending ramped things up and it regained some of the magic left over from the first book.

I have to give the Author props for creativity and building such a imaginative and original world full of vivid characters in a dark, sinister setting!

I am not a big fantasy reader, but Malice blew me away and I had to know what happened to the characters. Part of me wished I had just kept wondering, while another part of me is glad that I took the plunge with this book.

Others are enjoying this more than I did so please read their reviews as well.
