Taken in the Dark is the gripping, riveting, and thrilling second book in the Logan Sisters Series. Jen is the sister featured in this book. She appears to have it all – a home on the water in Florida, a good career, a husband and her twins. Jen has a unique gift that has been passed down in her family that tells her when she is in danger. When notes, flowers and turtles show up, she knows that danger is lurking.
Soon Jen’s life begins to spiral. She becomes suspicious and worried for not only herself but her family. In addition, she is also noticing that things are not so perfect at home. With her family in town, she hopes to get to the bottom of things but then her biggest fear happens as her children go missing!
Peggy Webb kept me on my toes as I tried to come up with whodunit. I kept changing my suspect list and more is revealed. I enjoy the ‘gift’ that is passed down in the family and how it comes into play during this book. I also enjoyed the sense of unease, tension, and suspicion that grew as the plot unfolded.
The sisters and their grandmother are likeable, quirky, and interesting. I enjoyed spending time with them once again. I found this book to be well written, well thought out, and gripping.
I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
