Bruce is a young ghost who loves hockey! He desperately wants to play his favorite sport despite his father’s disapproval. His father reminds him that ghost scare, they spook, they do ghostly things. Hockey is not something a ghost does. But playing hockey with other children is Bruce’s dream. It’s also Halloween and Bruce is clever and imaginative!

I enjoyed this children’s book about following your dreams. I appreciated how Bruce was determined, brave, and relied upon his tenacity and creativity to play hockey with other children. I also enjoyed how his family came around to support Bruce as he went for his dream. Another plus was that Bruce and his father found a compromise that worked for both of them.

The illustrations in this book are adorable and the plot is easy to understand for young readers. This is also a great book for parents to read to their children.

Thank you to Ben Jackson and Sam Lawrence who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.
